At our last meeting we talked about meeting this Sunday after church instead of Monday night. This is the plan at this time…Everyone is invited to come to the 10:30 worship service and sit together (or with your parents if you want). After the service we’ll head to the parsonage (our home) for Pizza (cheese and Pepperoni are easiest) and then do one of two things.
The first choice is to follow John Lewis to Camden and go Geo-caching on Maiden’s cliff. It’ll be great! We will do this if there is no wet weather (right now that’s not looking too good). You’ll need to dress very, very warmly (fleece is always good for absorbing sweat) and be ready to be outside for a couple of hours. The hike will definitely keep us warm as we search for our treasure!! We’ll be back around 3pm.
If the weather is bad (wet), then we’ll stay at the parsonage and watch a good movie (which one will it be???) with some conversation afterward. We’ll also be done by 3pm.
Here is what we need!
1) I’ve attached two permission slips. You only have to fill out one but the other is in case you are going to bring a friend. Please bring it to church with you on Sunday. Without a signed slip, you will not be able to go (church policy).
2) You’ll need to let us know by email or phone how many of you are coming. If you call the house simply leave a message if we’re not there.
3) Adults to drive and walk if we go to Camden. Our Safe Sanctuary policy requires two unrelated adults per car to carry the youth to our destination. The Lewis family is bringing their vehicle, we’ve got one as well but we’ll need more. It’ll be a great time!!! If we stay at the parsonage, adults are welcome to stay or enjoy the afternoon to themselves. If you can help, please call the parsonage and let us know.
4) Positive attitudes if we hike because it’ll be a little cool and uphill. Such attitudes make the journey better for all involved.
We’ll wait to hear from all of you. Remember to let us know if you are coming (either by email or phone).
